Sound familiar?

You inherited a codebase and aren't sure what's sound and what's a liability

Your system works today but you don't know if it'll handle 10x the load

You're evaluating an acquisition and need an independent technical assessment before closing

Your engineering team says they need 6 months to refactor but can't explain what specifically needs to change or why

How we assess

Architecture reviews follow a structured methodology. We review code, infrastructure, processes, and team structure - then deliver a written report with findings ranked by business impact.

Scoping & Access

We define review scope, sign NDAs, and get read access to repositories, infrastructure, CI/CD, and monitoring. We interview key engineers and review documentation. Typical setup takes 2-3 days.

Deep Assessment

Senior engineers review architecture patterns, code quality, test coverage, deployment pipeline, security posture, and infrastructure configuration. We stress-test scalability claims and quantify tech debt.

Report & Recommendations

We deliver a written report with findings categorized by severity and business impact. Each finding includes a specific remediation recommendation with effort estimate. We present the report to your leadership team and answer questions.

Frequently asked questions

Senior engineers and architects with 10+ years of experience. The review team is matched to your technology stack. Every review is led by a principal-level engineer who has built and scaled production systems.

Read access to source code repositories, CI/CD configuration, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring dashboards, and any existing architecture documentation. We also request 2-3 hours of interviews with key engineers. All access is covered by NDA.

A penetration test focuses on security vulnerabilities. An architecture review assesses the entire system: scalability, maintainability, reliability, cost efficiency, team productivity, and security posture. We cover security as part of the review but the scope is broader.

Yes. We've supported pre-acquisition technical assessments for investors and acquirers. The deliverable includes technology risk assessment, team evaluation, tech debt quantification, and a post-acquisition integration roadmap. We work within deal timelines.

You receive a written report with prioritized findings. Many clients engage CoreLine to implement the recommendations - either as a standalone remediation project or as an ongoing engineering partnership. But the report is designed to be actionable regardless of who does the work.
